Egg positioning |
The following pictures show differing egg positions at certain stages of the incubation period, as a general rule an egg laid on its side on the sensor pad is the normal position for most of the incubation period, however at or near the internal pip/hatch period different egg positions may be required to get a satisfactory read out. |
Egg positioning during normal incubation period, egg is laid on its side, rolling the egg through 90º in the early stages may be required to get a good read out. |
At or near internal pip the egg is placed airspace down and the top of the egg is pointed 45º away from the emitter. This presents the internal membrane to the sensor. |

For very small eggs it is recommended that these be placed nose down or airspace down to ensure a correct seal is made on the sensor pad. |
