Horse DNA Colour Testing
Founded in 1992, Animal Genetics offers a range of DNA-based testing services, for horse owners, enthusiasts, breeders and individuals seeking genetic background information about their horses coat colouring, or patterns. Our tests are carried out in the spirit of offspring coat colour prediction, and for breeding purposes. The procedure is accurate, inexpensive and reliable. Test results are made available within 5-7 days of sample submission.
Testing is carried out using DNA extracted from the roots of mane hairs, a typical sample is 30-40 pulled hairs. Collection samples bags and order forms are sent out free of charge at your requests. All colour/pattern tests charged at £16. * Except Grey testing, which due to the complicated nature of the testing procedure costs £25 per horse.
